Responsible for all operations of SRVUSD’s Food Service Program for Gale Ranch Middle School serving over 700 students

• Manage a staff of four assistants; assign, coordinate duties and responsibilities ensuring proper food safety handling procedures are strictly complied following HACCP.
• Maintain daily accurate food production logs, all food and equipment temperature logs. Update daily online temperature logs for safety documentation. Enter loss logs, discard food logs following mandated health and safety measures.
• Forecast, plan and place purchase orders for all necessary supplies through district approved vendors. Verify details of vendor invoices, monitor that all food and non-food related products are delivered according to government safety protocols and standards.
• Conduct school site food service inspection (eg. operating kitchen equipment, reporting equipment operational problems, monitoring sanitation of work and serving areas and submit work tickets) to support optimal and safe kitchen operations.
• Conduct monthly inventory for all food and non-food items complying with regulatory requirements and guidelines to ensure FIFO and all food safety standards are met.
• Lead activities for preparation of quarterly health inspections by the County Health Department.
• Communicate accurate operational information with supervisor and manage all parent, staff and personnel queries.
• Participate in meetings, workshops and seminars for the purpose of learning, gathering and conveying new information of procedures and regulations.
• Train personnel in policies and procedures to ensure site functions in a safe, professional and efficient manner following OSHA standards.

• Organized, prepared and supervised serving of lunch for over 400 kids on a daily basis.
