- After starting the machine must guide the punched grid through a washer and start grid strip on a coiler
- When a coil of grid is full the operator must remove the full coil using a lift truck and load empty coil on coiler
- The Strip Lead Casting machine consists of three lead pots to cast strip lead and a reeler system
- The lead strip is to be used with a punch grid machine
- Responsible for starting up the strip cast machine using a process controller
- Monitoring and adjusting the quality of the lead in the lead Pots
- Drossing and chipping pots
- Filling and transferring lead pots
- Occasionally skims dross from lead pots into buckets
- The lead strip is put onto a vertical reel which holds approximately 6000 lbs
- Must unload the reel using a hoist and put it into storage
