Hardworking, dependable candidate with a positive attitude. Enthusiastic about learning the Equine Field inside and out. Would love to pursue skills and contribute to equine and group success. Willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals. Extremely adjustable to work either weekend day or work out weekdays. Whether it is consistent or not, planned or last minute. Happy and eager to have an opportunity at Pickering Equine. Simply wanting another job that is evolved around the well-being of the horse.
My personal accomplishment that means the world to me is that I have made my twenty year old mare stronger now than she was when she was sixteen. I have accomplished this by giving her time off, doing lots of rehab with walking, having her walk over high poles to have her knees and hocks bend, and giving her passionate care before and after rides. My vet has been doing lameness exams on my horse since she was sixteen and the last one my horse had, my vet said "this is the best I've seen her." This has been a very meaningful accomplishment to me because I have done it on my own with the horse-knowledge I have developed over the years. I simply want to give my horse and future horses the best life possible and give back to them. I look forward to the possibility of Mid-Atlantic helping me with more accomplishments in Equine.
I have been riding since the age of eight and have been working with horses since the age of fourteen. I bought my horse and have been providing for her on my own at the age of nineteen and am now twenty-three. I have competed in Hunter/Jumpers at 2-2'6. My mare and I have accomplished a 1.20m fence summer of 2022. I truly care for the well-being of the horse more than I do for riding. I want the best for them and to learn everything I can, to do what is right for them. I am passionately willing to do whatever it takes to get there. I am sincerely hoping that Mid-Atlantic can help me thrive and get to where I want to be.
