Cover Letter

Dear [Hiring Committee / Academic Dean]

I am writing to express my interest in serving as a staff member at your esteemed theological institution. With extensive experience in theological education, pastoral leadership, and academic administration, I am deeply committed to equipping the next generation of Christian leaders.

I am currently a Doctor of Ministry candidate at Dallas Theological Seminary, hold a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a Ministerial Diploma from Angelus Bible Institute. Since 2001, I have served as Director and faculty of VIDA Bible Institute, which I founded in California and has since expanded to seven extensions across four states. My teaching background includes service at Angelus Bible Institute, V.E.T.I., CHET, IDEAL (Denver Seminary), Nazarene Bible College, SETECA (Denver Seminary Extension), and as a teaching assistant at Fuller Theological Seminary.

In addition to my academic contributions, I bring significant pastoral experience. I served as Senior Pastor of the United Methodist Church in Montclair (2009–2014) and in Westmont (2012–2014), as well as planting and pastoring the Foursquare Church in Chino, California (1998–2014), where by God’s grace twelve daughter churches were established. Currently, I serve as Assistant Pastor of the Foursquare Church in Colorado Springs. I also serve as Regional Pastor for the Foursquare National Hispanic District, overseeing the regions of Colorado, Utah, and Nevada.

As an author, I have published Hermeneutics and Homiletics, the poem Lamentation in the Diaspora, and co-authored The Worker and His Gifts. These works reflect my passion for biblical interpretation and equipping leaders for effective ministry.

I would be honored to contribute my experience in theological education and pastoral leadership to your institution. I am confident that my background aligns well with your mission of preparing leaders for Kingdom service.

Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to the possibility of discussing how I may serve your community.

Sincerely

María Silvina Kosacki
