Improved patient outcomes by conducting thorough examinations and accurate diagnoses.
Enhanced clinic efficiency by managing patient flow and ensuring timely appointments.
Streamlined communication with medical staff for better coordination of care and treatment plans.
Mentored junior staff members, providing guidance on best practices in patient care.
I worked as the first travel nurse, in Grifols, for 3 years. I was sent to various clinics to train newly hired nurses in the process of determining donor suitability, utilizing Quality compliance and SOP procedures.
I was trained on both Company platforms (Talecris and Biomat), which were two separate companies until they were purchased by Grifols. This "cross-training," allowed me to operate in either clinic, then train Donor Center medical staff regarding process improvement, Quality protocols, then evaluate training results, to make necessary training material-adjustments, based on staff comprehension and their learning styles.
I assisted medical trainees in preparing "binders" based on their learning styles, so that processes could be performed accurately and with lower error rates.
I was sent to various donor centers, to train nurses once Key Performance Indicators were assessed by corporate and quality officers.
I would instruct staff on what ensures initial donor suitability and eligibility, product integrity, and educate donors regarding their health and continued suitability.
I developed an introduction method-to the training plan, which established trust with staff, prior to visiting each donor center. Where, I would train first as a staff member and learn how the centers operate and function. Then I would implement the changes, train staff on procedures and quality improvement.
Train medical staff to determine initial suitability of donor to undergo plasmapheresis, through verification of accumulated medical history assessment and physical examination. Trained staff on providing appropriate medical care to donors during the plasmapheresis process and, if complications arise, call for emergency medical services (#911). Sent to Roanoke, VA and became a Designated Trainer for Company (Talecris). Sent to Reading, PA and became trainer for Biomat. I would train nurses then return to Raleigh, NC.
