During his downtime, Marc enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering in the community, and watching sports, especially the Patriots and Bruins.
Marc is also a US Army veteran and was deployed to a remote outpost in the mountains of Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 08/09. During his deployment, Silvestri was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor for his actions during a four-hour firefight with the Taliban, and later in the deployment, he earned a Purple Heart when a rocket-propelled grenade struck his outpost.
