Work History

Assembler II

Thermo Fisher Scientific
09.2023 - Current
  • At Thermo Fisher Scientific I worked in the ION department as an assembler II using a variety of hand tools, fixtures, and test equipment to build electron microscopes
  • I have been trained on three different “flavors” of microscopes including Plasma and Tomahawk columns
  • I have also been trained on sub-assemblies and teardowns of columns
  • To accomplish this, I use prescribed methods, use databases and other assembly techniques I have learned in my years of assembly work
  • I have built up the ability to work alongside our test technicians to analyze problems and come to a solution that resolves issues in builds as well as help identify issue before they impact production
  • I enjoy participating in projects that require a different perspective as well as working independently to achieve personal goals

Unarmed Security

Allied Universal
08.2022 - 09.2023
  • Worked as an unarmed security guard in a facility in Wilsonville, OR that deals with government contracts and foreign nationals visiting on-site
  • My main role was to provide security overnight by watching CCTB and performing a walking patrol every 2 hours for 8-hour shifts
  • On the weekends I performed 12-hour shifts and did 6 patrols
  • During these shifts I would also monitor alarm systems for alerts and warnings, fill out a Daily Journal and Operations log with hourly updates and reports, check first time and returning guests licenses, passports and other forms of IDs for authenticity and ensure GTC rules were being followed
  • Near the end of my time at Allied I worked as a floater, working multiple different locations and hours as needed by the company

Construction/Painter

08.2021 - 07.2022
  • During this time, I worked under my stepdad’s construction crew as primarily a painter, and occasionally as a construction helper
  • I would paint exterior walls, install drywall and other miscellaneous work
  • I valued my time here as it helped me further develop my skills with tools and taught me new valuable skills

Assembly Technician

Lam Research
03.2020 - 07.2021
  • This job required me to assemble machines used by semiconductor manufacturers using various hand tools and measuring tools
  • Instructions were given within a computer program called CellFusion which tracked productivity and accuracy
  • Inspected, cleaned, and assembled different models including Vectors, Stryker

QC Inspector

Precision Countertops
02.2020 - 03.2020
  • Inspect counter tops for any defects using visual inspection
  • Clean and repair countertops with surface cleaners and molding tools
  • Measure tops and read blueprint tag for specifications, each countertop was made special for customers
  • Move tops to shipping locations in warehouse once approved using a suction crane and proper team-lifting techniques
  • Due to COVID my employment here was short

Manufacture Worker

TE Connectivity
02.2019 - 01.2020
  • Worked individually on a grinder machine to manufacture wires based on a blueprint given by customer
  • The blueprints had specific measurements and allowed tolerances
  • Would often have to check wires to make sure they are in parameters given to us by customer, scrap any that were not
  • Use an IPIF (In-process inspection form) to record data points and scrap amounts for the day
  • Often performed maintenance on machines to ensure proper maintenance was kept up such as replacing griding wheels and maintaining feeder belt
