My name is Marcus Harold Nims. I was born and raised in Sacramento California. I was born in to a large family of six 1 brother and 4 sisters. as a child I traveled around the US racing motocross for 16 years. I turned pro at the age of 18 but due to financial struggles I had to step away from the sport. I later joined the military to try to get some police experience but I found the job Boom Operator. I fell in love with the job and the excitement of touching two planes together in the sky. Once in the military I married my lovely wife Fabiola Nims and 5 years later we welcomed our beautiful daughter Aurora. We are looking for a place to lay our roots and are hoping for some place in California.
My first Base I was stationed at was Scott AFB. I was in the TFA unit under the 126ARW. The 906 was a great squadron and it was a pleasure working along side of the people of the 108 ARS. I worked hard in the scheduling shop and flew as much as I can. I also volunteered in as many things as I could. This hard work allowed me to earn SrA below the zone and continue on to becoming a SSgt in just 3 and a half years. I wanted to challenge my self so I went to Instructor upgrade to further my aircraft and job knowledge. I had 2 deployments in the 906 ARS both to Qatar. I wanted a taste of the "Real" tanker lifestyle so when the time came I picked Fairchild for my next duty location. At Fairchild I worked in the Training shop, deployed once to Turkey and am now working in OST training MQT students for operational missions .
