• DDR for Sniff Test: To compare the efficacy of the DDR sniff test to standard-of-care fluoroscopy exams. Questions currently being investigated: Can DDR replace fluoroscopy for sniff tests? What are the relevant advantages and disadvantages of each method? What are the relative patient doses? Image data collection, DDR image sets, and fluoroscopy image sets matched for each patient Dose data for each patient, Collect and statistically analyze physician reports for both DDR and fluoroscopy data. Statistical analysis of data with the help of a statistician, Writing a manuscript for submission to a radiology journal, Preparation of conference abstract submissions and presentations of technique and dose data
• Perfusion Analysis of Transplant Patients: To investigate the use of advanced analysis software for assessing pulmonary blood flow in the pre- and post-operative management of lung transplant patients. Questions currently being investigated: Does the advanced analysis software improve understanding of blood flow compared to conventional radiography? What is the relative efficacy of this DDR method compared to nuclear scintigraphy? How does standing (erect) versus supine positioning impact the DDR results? How do these patient positions compare to nuclear scintigraphy scan data? Can DDR results be confidently used to manage patient care? Are there specific ways in which the DDR analysis can be improved?, Image data collection, standard PA chest images, and DDR image sets were analyzed in PH2 mode. Tabulation of cases where automated analysis (Lung ROI determination) failed. Comparison Assessment of the effectiveness of current lung ROI algorithm, Nuclear Medicine (V/Q scan) image sets matched for each patient. DDR and V/Q Dose data for each patient, Statistical analysis of summary data for both DDR and V/Q summary data, Analysis of data, Writing a manuscript for submission to radiology journal (e.g.: Radiology, AJR), Preparation of conference abstract submissions and presentations of technique and dose data
