  • Responsibilities included crisis intervention with high school students attending the school. Also responsible for individual therapy sessions with up to 15 students on caseload. Attended county IEP meetings as well as developed goals and completed required paperwork to document progress and therapy notes. Facilitated group sessions for high school girls and lead discussions on topics such as personal hygiene, relationships, taking responsibility for one’s actions, and problem solving. Was also involved in student advocacy when needed for the students’ benefit. Occasionally assisted in teaching classes while teacher attended required meetings with non-caseload students.

Completed first year field placement for MSW here working primarily with high school students and completed an administrative project organizing transition materials for the middle school staff to appropriately place freshmen moving from middle to high school into the program which would best suit their needs (this setting has four distinct high school graduation programs). Also assisted teaching classes while teachers attended meetings with non-caseload students.
