• Supervises department's staff for children's and teen services, including Teen Librarian, Library Assistants and Pages.

• Serves as a liaison between the Library and schools, caregivers, homeschoolers, and agencies

• Manages the Youth Services department budget and expenditures.
• Compiles departmental reports and statistics on a monthly and yearly basis for the Director.
• Evaluates and assists in the selection of Children's materials for library acquisition, as it pertains to the Youth
• Regularly assists staff and patrons with tech support on issues related to MS Office, Android and Iphone devices, ebooks, electronic audiobooks, in addition to printing issues and other basic trouble shooting issues that arise
Services Department.
• Assist Director of library with fund raising events
• Assist Director, together with the other Department Heads, with the interviewing of new hires.
• Lend support to Director after hours when building maintenance issues arise
• Extensive experience managing the daily operations of the Children's department, including but not limited to story time, monthly programming, readers advisory and reference.
• Supervise five Children's department support staff on a daily basis and assist in the training of volunteers.
• Perform external outreach to local schools to improve support of curriculum.
• Manage the Children's department budget and expenditures.
• Plan and develop the Children's collection, including books, audio and DVD selections and weeding when needed.
• Experience planning and developing Summer Reading program for children (newborn through fifth grade).
• Fostered new and existing community relationship with local business to establish regular funding support for Summer Reading.
• Function in the capacity of a translator for ESL staff and Spanish speaking community.
• Support overall library operations and other duties as appropriate.
