Responsible for performing day-to-day maintenance and administrative tasks to ensure a building is kept clean, functional, and safe, including tasks like basic repairs, cleaning common areas, managing supplies, responding to maintenance requests, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining security systems, all under the guidance of a Facilities Manager.
Key responsibikites include:
General Maintenance:
Performing minor repairs like fixing leaky faucets, replacing light bulbs, patching walls, and unclogging drains.
Cleaning common areas like hallways, restrooms, kitchens, and conference rooms.
Maintaining grounds including trash removal, snow removal, and landscaping upkeep.
Inspecting facilities for potential issues and reporting them to the Facilities Manager.
Administrative Tasks:
Managing inventory of cleaning supplies and maintenance materials
Placing orders for supplies and coordinating deliveries
Maintaining maintenance logs and records
Responding to maintenance requests from staff
Coordinating with outside contractors for repairs and maintenance
Security and Access Control:
Monitoring security systems and access points
Issuing building access keys and managing key control procedures
Performing building checks to ensure security measures are in place
Event Support:
Setting up and tearing down rooms for meetings and events
Arranging furniture and equipment for special functions.
Other responsibiltes:
Maintain all printers, scanners and copiers in proper working condition. Call for service when needed
Pick up, drop off plans, proposals to clients.
Drop off soil samples from job sites for testing
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills to interact with
