• Manage federally funded reproductive and sexual health education programs across Montana

Supervisor, Adolescent Health Programs Duties:

• Supervised staff and programs across the Adolescent Health section, including Sexual Violence Prevention, Rape Prevention, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, and the Personal Responsibility Education Program.
• Developed and implemented program policies, goals, and work plans, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and community needs.
• Led the writing and review process for grant applications, securing critical funding for programs.

Lead Program Specialist Duties:

• Managed multiple grant-funded programs, including creating comprehensive work plans, development of semi-annual reports, and overseeing program budgets.
• Provided technical assistance to contractors on budget management, performance tracking, compliance, and deliverable execution to ensure program effectiveness and accountability.

Community Health Educator:

• Established partnerships with community organizations, school districts, and policymakers to deliver medically accurate health education to youth.
• Managed multiple funding streams to ensure long-term program sustainability.
• Supervised education interns by connecting them with observation and volunteer opportunities, while providing ongoing training and feedback.
• Facilitated evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention programs.
• Trained health center and administrative staff in offering inclusive health services to transgender patients, covering topics like patient counseling, service provision, creating an inclusive clinic environment, and hormone therapy information.

Global Programs Assistant:

• Additionally served as the Global Programs Technical Assistant for Malawi’s DREAMS initiative, launching youth-friendly health services via phone.
• Developed and facilitated training curricula for healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and nursing assistants.
• Delivered training on topics such as menstrual health and hygiene, WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene), birth control and condom use, STI awareness and prevention, client-centered care, youth-friendly services, unsafe abortion, and reducing stigma.
• The trainings were reviewed and approved by the Malawi Ministry of Health and were subsequently adopted into the national medical education credentialing system.
