Work History

Research Scientist

Nova Southeastern University
07.2021 - Current
  • Conducted basic and applied research on understanding the mechanism of tyrosine kinase inhibitor, discovering novel drug and overcoming drug resistance for human deseases espectially cancer. The current project is 'Proteome Wide Network Analysis Reveals the EML4-ALK Inhibitor Drug Resistance in Non Small Cell Lung Cancer', which belongs to Moffitt lung cancer SPORE grant and is closed to the end, the manuscript is under the writing.
  • Proposed research plan, design experiments, excuted the plan, analyzed and interpreted research findings and summarized data into reports, meetings and manuscripts.
  • Developed new methods, shared and tought created tools to colleage and other collaborators: tandem affinity purifaction (TAP) liquid chromatography protocol for profilng protein complex in large scale; Biostatistics pipeline for phosphoproteomics; Real time cell analysis(xCELLigence system) for function validation of target proteins; Bioinformatics strategy for networks using various 'omics' data including genomics and proteomics; siRNA library screen techniques for proteomics results validation.
  • Collaborated with colleagues for several other projects, which led to two publishcations, also one manuscript submitted, one manuscript submitting, and one manuscript under the preparing.
  • Organized a proteomics research group (called pY group) including experts : Proteomicists, biologists, Physicians, Bioinformaticists, Biostatisticians, Chemists, and other staff and students.
  • Menter potential Ph.D students.

Postdoctoral Fellow

Hampton University
10.2007 - 04.2011
  • Conducted basic and applied research on phosphoproteomics and cancer biology.
  • Well trained Liquid chromatography mass spectrometry technologies and strategies frome proteomics core and all other opportunities for instances trained in top level lab in MIT, and workshops provided by US HUPO conferences et  al..
  • Successfully mapped the epidermal growth factor receptor phosphorylation related to oncogenic mutations and tyrosine kinase inhibitor sensitivity, which has been published in Journal Proteome Research.
  • Initiated and organized the Moffitt Proteomics Research Group.
  • Established the pipeline for various proteomics analysis.
  • Scheduled and trained technical staff members and potential Ph.D. students.
