I am a recent graduate of Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio, where I majored in English Literature and minored in Studio Arts. My employment history includes being the fiction editor for Ohio Northern’s award winning literary magazine, Polaris, as well as working as a correspondence writer and editor for The Courier, a newspaper based in my hometown of Findlay, Ohio. Upon moving to Cincinnati, I began work for the Cincinnati Public Library system, as a shelver for the Hyde Park branch. In addition to this, I have done various restaurant and service work, which has helped provide me with communication skills and the ability to work well with other people. I have also written for Ohio Northern’s newspaper, the Northern Review, and have had several poems and short stories published in literary magazines.
As a shelver for the Hyde Park branch of the Cincinnati Public Library, it is my responsibility to ensure order and proper presentation of the materials the library has available. This position also requires customer interaction and a keen knowledge surrounding the placement and location of materials.
