Additional Information

I recently had the opportunity to be involved in the day in the life at Stormont Vail. As soon as I walked in the doors, I felt at home. Even though the day was hectic for the staff members at Stormont Vail due to unforeseen conditions, the staff still made sure that my class had the opportunity to see this workplace. For this, I am greatly appreciative. During my day, I saw how well the staff communicates with one another and the amount of respect they have for each-other. I had the opportunity to tour the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I have a passion for Neonatology and plan to further my education in this specialty. I will be continuing my education at Fort Hays State University after graduation to obtain my Bachelor's degree in Nursing. In January I will be taking ACLS and PALS certifications courses. I am also planning to obtain my NRP certification.
