Hofstra University - Engineering 15: Designing the Human-Made World      September 2022

Mousetrap Car

  • Designed and built a mousetrap car that was remotely triggered and traveled the great distance on a vinyl tiled hallway.
  • Used limited material and followed a list of specifications and constraints.

LEGO Robot

  • Programmed a LEGO EV3 robot to navigate an obstacle track implementing three alternative solutions.
  • Each alternative used a different sensor on the robot (ultrasonic, touch, and color).

Pinball Machine

  • Worked with a team to design and build a non-electronic pinball machine following a list of specifications and constraints.
  • Devised two alternative concepts and built mechanical flippers and a shooter as well as obstacles.
