Hi, I’m

MARIA PILAR DIZON

San Jose,CA

Summary

Nurse at heart with 20 years of professional experience in an Acute setting. I experienced being a patient for days on a medical floor. Because of this, my perception as an RN has widened and changed a lot. Now I know the feeling and very much can empathize on how a helpless patient feels in a new strange place with strangers around them. Because of this, I promised myself that as an advocate of patients, I , in my heart, want to be a comfort person, a human being they can trust during their hard times in the hospital. I will get to know them and be authentic in how I interact and communicate with them. I believe that a person might forget a name or a face but they will truly remember how a person makes them feel especially with authenticity and kindness. That for me is Nursing.

Dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with progressive career history in direct patient care, triage and care coordination in fast-paced environment. Proven to remain calm under pressure and skillfully handle difficult patients and high-stress situations. Consistently developing strong relationships with patients and families through empathetic communication, respectful attitude and excellent customer service.
