Marizol Leyva is an Afro-Latina transgender creative, published author, and award-winning activist whose work bridges the worlds of art, advocacy, and storytelling. With a bold presence rooted in authenticity, culture, and lived experience, she is a nationally recognized voice for trans visibility, racial justice, and mental health awareness.

As the co-author of "My Sister: How One Sibling’s Transition Changed Us Both" (Seal Press), Marizol brings personal narrative into public discourse, using her platform to humanize complex issues facing trans women of color. Her work has been featured in major publications including Vogue, People, Vice, and Refinery29, and she has spoken on stages for universities, national nonprofits, DEI programs, and brand campaigns.
