As Control Room Operator:

Monitoring Operations: continuously monitor the operation of equipment, machinery, and other systems within the plant. Observe electronic representations displayed on monitors, dials, and lights to track various processes1.

Process Management: Make real-time adjustments to process variables, ensuring that the plant operates smoothly and adheres to established procedures. If any irregularities or emergencies arise, take appropriate actions to address them.

Alarm Management: monitor and manage alarms and alerts. When alarms are triggered due to abnormal conditions, promptly respond and take corrective measures.

Production Rate Monitoring: Monitor production rates, ensuring that the plant meets its output targets and operates efficiently.

System Status Logging: maintain detailed logs of system statuses, documenting any changes, incidents, or deviations from normal operations

As Auxiliary Operator:

• Performed routine maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting issues as they arose.
• Ensured compliance with safety regulations and procedures, reporting any violations or potential hazards immediately.
• Identified potential problems before they occurred by monitoring trends in performance data.
• Identified and recommended operational changes to improve plant reliability, performance and output.
• Followed safety guidelines to minimize workplace hazards and protect fellow workers from harm.

Perform daily operational rounds on HRSGs, Combustion Turbines, Steam Turbine, Cooling towers, and Balance of Plant. Also collect samples and analyze water from Clarifier (inlet/outlet), RO Pods, and Cooling water.

Managed and coordinated Spring and Fall outages for all units. Obtained quotes and developed Purchase orders for materials and work for scheduled outages and emergency shutdowns.

Daily work also included preventative maintenance, emergency work orders, planned scheduled outages on Combined Cycle power plant as well as (2) 44 MW peaking units.
