Two months after my best friend and father passed away suddenly, I arrived at Lehigh University, passing on a full scholarship from a D2 school, at the chance I could play in the NCAA tournament. My first semester at Lehigh I received a 3.6 GPA, and successfully walked on as a guard to their D1 basketball team. I worked my way onto the floor and had some amazing highlights, including playing against Notre Dame in South Bend, and playing against Dan Hurley, the current coach of the #1 ranked Connecticut Huskies. I am a life long student and teacher of the game. I've decided to coach, and am certain if you take the time to have a conversation, you will see I understand motivating student athletes, the psychology of coaching, physical fitness, game planning and execution. I have stayed close to the basketball community, ie recruiting, fund raising, etc.. for the years that I have been focused on publishing, as well as coaching a high school team in Denver. It's funny to be told you don't have the experience to get a D1 coaching position, at my age, after having had such success as a player and as a business person for the last 30 years. The program that I've built over 30 years, as a coach and tested at the high school level, works. I am excited to start at the high school level, as a head coach, and am looking for a good fit in Denver. Thank you so much for reading this long message, and I look forward to a successful relationship!
