Accomplishments

My greatest professional accomplishment is my work in establishing a promotional comity for the Lansing Fire Department. I helped establish the comity which included city administration, fire department administration, Union Officers and impartial union members. The promotional comity created promotional criteria for all ranks which standardized the education level for promotion throughout the department. The comity also approved promotions in an impartial atmosphere. I sat on the comity from 2014 thru 2021.

I have been a licensed Paramedic in the State of Michigan for 30yrs. A very long time to hold a Paramedic License.

I have been involved in over 79 fire investigations since becoming becoming a certified fire investigator in 2018. The fire investigations included 23 active and closed arson cases.

I have logged hundreds of hours instructing my peers and the public in EMS, Fire Command and Tactics, Fire Origin and cause and Fire Safety courses.

Outdoor Sports

I enjoy outdoor sports including: fishing, boating and swiming.
