Bon Odori Festival
During my time in Japan, I worked under a concession stand sponsored by my father's work association, Naval Air Facility Atsugi Mustang Association, for the annual Bon Odori festival from 2018-2022. Throughout those four years, I've worked for 30+ hours and served over 10,000 patrons, including military personnel and their families, Japanese residents, and visitors from other neighboring military bases. The refreshments our particular stand sold included, but not limited to, hot dogs, corn dogs, chips, beverages, and my father's association merchandise.
Atsugi Officers Spouse Association (AOSA)
For the summer of 2022, I participated in my mother's association, titled Atsugi Officers Spouse Association, or AOSA for short, for their annual one day Bazaar. During the 5 hours I worked there, I serviced 100+ patrons as well as assisted a small local company at their stand selling carpets, rugs, and furniture ranging from small coffee stands to beautifully crafted chairs to large decorative storages. I assisted the seller by safely and delicately carrying the furniture from the floor to vehicles, making me more than capable lifting and carrying heavy objects if the task required me to.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
For two years, I volunteered to work at NAF Atsugi's chapel, working from Monday to Friday and totaling to around 60 hours of service. Being in charge of the game station for the children, I was required to come in early in the morning and set up the games I had planned for them as well as discussing the day's itinerary with the other station leaders. Throughout this weekly event, I managed at least 40 kids per year, and my primary roles were supervising them, and while doing so, keeping them entertained.
