Started my own construction consulting business focused on providing design phase and construction phase services to general contractors. I was hired by McCarthy Building Companies to oversee the design of the $1.5 billion VA Replacement Hospital in New Orleans. I co-located with the designers, supervising the design to ensure it met the VA requirements, and the design was within budget. In addition, I prepared all of the MEP trade package bids and supervised the procurement of these trade packages in conformance with U.S. government contract law.
Another project I was hired to perform, by another general contractor, was a build-out of a major healthcare facility addition and expansion. This was a 100,000 square foot addition within an existing operating hospital that involved design management and the project management of the construction.

The company was successful in its claim and was awarded over $5 million in damages.
