Fulfilled, in person and online, the information needs of a diverse customer base (ages 14-80+): high school and college students, military members, community guests, and faculty.
Managed the Welcome Desk (Circulation) through opening and closing duties. Resolved student problems, trained and supervised student workers and new WD staff, processed new and weeded material, shelved books, monitored study rooms, and assisted other departments in the building. Also tracked usage statistics and collected the data in Excel.
Operated the Reference Desk, providing students with course support through knowledge of the LRC's in-Library and online sources. Collaborated with other Reference Librarians on evaluating and selecting new databases. Designed informative displays monthly, including eight different themes.
Developed the Library Collection in five subjects, both books and ebooks, using student and faculty liaison input, and through established personal experience and knowledge.
Liaised with Nursing and College Success departments to develop Library resources for students and designed tailored LibGuides, along with the Science LibGuides.
Taught Library Information to classes across six branch campus locations – including military bases and to Raider Ready and tour groups.
