Working with local general contractors, home builders and quarries to secure hauling contract and ensure reliable execution of the contracts. Physically networking with the construction site, whether it is running the backhoe or skid steer to secure the recurring contracts.
Richard Coleman was my direct supervisor. My duties were to oversee and facilitate environmentally impacted areas related to the oilfield. Diesel spills, chemical spills, salt water and more. Helped with meeting pipeline company men for right of ways, digging requirements around pipelines and overseeing that procedures were followed. Managed and oversaw onsite trucking for disposal of impacted materials and receiving and placement of materials for backfill and the reclaim process. Onsite coordination of subcontractors' work being performed and collection of tickets and paperwork. Generally oversaw around 10 to 12 men. The company dissolved as thee owners' interest were spent more on their main company and we went on th other endeavors.
Navigating a home improvement or renovation project requires clear, professional boundaries. The team I built communicated very well with each other and the clients making the projects whether small or big a success. I moved on and wanted to work more in the environmental industry ; that was the reason I left the contracting business.
