Border Patrol Processing Coordinator

-Receiving and processing custody of detainees, maintaining security and well-being of detainees outside of a secure complex; inventorying, tagging and storing detainees' personal property.

-Transporting detainees to Detention/Processing Facilities and medical facilities

-Communicating in Spanish language; maintaining contact with other sectors, stations, agencies and foreign consulates and making arrangements for removal procedures, travel and escorts.

-Logging the status of welfare checks and visual inspections of cells and occupants into the appropriate system.

-Drafting and maintaining administrative paperwork such as reports related to property, transportation and deportation documentation.

-Have maintained proficiency with firearms via Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Quarterly firearms qualifications.

-Shift duty officer SDOs are responsible for the intake portion of the Border Patrol processing centers. Receive detainees apprehended by US Border Patrol. Pat search detainees arriving to facility for any weapons or contraband. Report any medical issues or any behavioral issues detainees may have. Keep accountability of detainees going IN or OUT of the facility.

-Fingerprint (Roll) detainees arriving to US Border Patrol USBP facility and submit fingerprints to FBI database.

  • Using the company's scheduling system travel database to search for available flights, seats and routes

  • Remains aware of travel-related information that may cause delays or prevent flight connections from occurring and communicates this information to the TS in route
  • Makes last-minute travel arrangements or cancellations due to inclement weather or other travel emergencies
  • Ensures accurate transportation itinerary information is available to all necessary employees via the scheduling system.
