The goal of Safe House is to support homeless women who are leaving prostitution and/or commercial sex work with substance abuse issues who are in crisis and trying to escape domestic and community violence
12-step programming, relapse prevention, training/education, employment, case management, linkage to permanent housing, individual/group therapy, exercise/nutrition programs, mental health services, and other supportive services, are provided
These services are intended to provide a safety net, food and shelter, healthcare and necessary skills, and resources to live independently, decrease trauma symptomology related to sex work and violence, an increase self-efficacy and motivation in reaching life goals
My Duties: Program development which includes strong partnership connections with other agencies in the community: Detox Centers in nearby cities, SF jails, SF Courts, Social Workers, CPS, re-entry programs, other agencies striving to reduce sex trafficking of women and young girls locally and nationally
