Mary Babel

Provides family planning and medication/surgical abortion care for all populations. Places IVs, administers mild & IV moderate sedation, emergency medications, per physician order in an ambulatory surgical setting.

Monitors and assesses higher gestational age patients with osmotic dilators and misoprostol for ROM, pain level, and laboring signs pre-surgical. Monitors vital signs during procedure, pre/post procedure and discharges patient when appropriate.

Provides unbiased education and consents patients for abortion.procedure.

Served as primary point of contact for elective and trauma pre/post operative patient for medication management, and general orthopedic questions.

Using active listening, educated and advocated for patients.

Utilized standing orders and protocols while using the nursing process.

Managed patient care plan as patient conditions change whil recognizing early signs of impending death.

Worked closely with family and caregivers for how to care for their loved ones with a strong ability to critically think in crisis situuations.
