Summary

As a merchant mariner, I am eager to utilize a knowledge of safety culture and practices in a new shoreside environment. With three years of dedicated service in my most recent role as second Mate at Hornbeck Offshore, following a three-week on, three-week off rotating schedule onboard a ship, I have gained many valuable experiences. With five years of experience in safety-focused job environments, I have thrived in administrative settings and with hands-on tasks and face-to-face interactions. I am excited to make a significant impact as a safety professional, as this is one aspect of the job for the past five years I have found the most rewarding and important. I am hoping that with I can embrace a shoreside career that works towards the protection of personnel, the environment, and property. Having witnessed the importance of having a strong safety culture, I am eager to contribute to improving, building, and promoting the positive impact it has on all aspects of work and life.
