During my three-month preceptorship at Kaiser Permanente Walnut Creek on a Telemetry Medical-Surgical unit, I cared for a diverse adult patient population with complex medical conditions. I gained hands-on experience with medication administration, wound care, patient education, electronic medical record documentation, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and telemetry monitoring. I worked closely with my RN preceptor, refining my clinical judgment, time management, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. This experience solidified my commitment to providing safe, patient-centered, and compassionate nursing care.
