  • Contributes to the team’s ability to achieve results, as described in the Country Operational Plan (COP), by providing essential programmatic and technical expertise and guidance within the team for the OVC, community care and behavioral health components
  • Serves as the official country manager for all Lesotho Prevention and mitigation components of USAID’s regional procurements awarded by the Regional HIV/AIDS Program (RHAP), as well as all USAID/Washington-procured Field Support activities in Lesotho

  • Managing the Determined, Resilient, Empowered AIDS-free, Mentored and Safe (DREAMS) initiative, which its goal is to work with community, faith-based, and non-governmental organizations to mobilize significant numbers of community leaders and members, helping to address the structural inequalities that impact vulnerability to HIV for AGYW

The program that i was managing had many challenges as the it was the first time US government was issuing funding directly to a Lesotho based local NGO. So adhering to all requirements and performing to the expected standards proved to be a challenge. I had to dedicate my time to hand hold the local NGO, setting weekly targets for them and pushing hard that they improve and they are seen to be weathy to have received that funding. They improved significantly and finally became the best and biggest local implementing patner
