Dear Ray Barton Racing Engines Team,
I am writing to express my strong interest in joining Ray Barton Racing Engines as an Apprentice Engine Builder or Shop Technician. Living right down the road in Wernersville, I have immense respect for the world-class reputation your shop has built in high-horsepower Hemi engine development, custom machining, and dyno testing. I am driven to enter the world of high-performance motorsports and want to learn the trade from the ground up from the absolute best in the industry.
Currently, I am developing my mechanical foundation as an Automotive Technology student at Universal Technical Institute (UTI), focusing on precision measuring tools, internal engine operation, and diagnostic fundamentals. Beyond my technical coursework, my hands-on background in precision surface preparation and shop maintenance has built an uncompromising standard for cleanliness, tool discipline, and quality control. I know that in an elite shop building $30,000 to $100,000 engine packages, there is zero tolerance for dirty work benches, missed specifications, or shortcut preps.
I am seeking the chance to bring that exact discipline and work ethic to your shop floor. I do not expect a master builder bench on day one; I am fully prepared to earn my place by washing blocks, prepping components, maintaining clean-room standards, organizing inventory, and supporting your builders wherever needed.
I appreciate the opportunity letting me stop by the shop, introduce myself in person, and discuss a possible future here at the shop. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely - Matrix Yeakley
