- Organized blueprints into their rightful order, which contained important structures that had been built around the city.
- Scanned blueprints into an OCE Plotter Scanner that allows me to scan blueprints and have them directly uploaded to the city's system.
- Got to experience the environment that civil engineers work in on a day-to-day basis.
- Learned how to communicate with the civil engineers who work at the Downey City Hall and made connections with some.

- In charge of researching components that will be needed to build a weather balloon that collects atmospheric data in space.
- I learned useful teamwork skills since the whole project relied on a group of 4 people that all had the same interest in engineering.
- Observed existing strategies and techniques to offer suggestions for improvement.
- Gave a presentation about the weather balloon my team built to collect data from the atmosphere, explaining how we made it and what we learned, to a group of apprentice engineers. Our supervisor liked our ideas and teamwork.
