Market building via LeadGen. I wore many hats doing this work. Making relationships, turning veterinarians into our champions, and training their staff on our product. The company doesn't advertise, so the goal is for the animal care world to advertise for us.

I owned two territories - "Vermont" and "Rochester, NY" - comprising about 360 animal hospitals and 20-30 shelters and rescues.

I spent almost 30 years in hospitality at all levels and in all positions. I'm a cook by trade, but I landed my first job as Chef in 1997 at the age of 22. I have worked at fish-n-chips joints all the way to white-glove service, and even worked at an Applebees! I am generally a fine dining chef with a concentration on French Provencial, and understanding of wine is a strong suit. I ran kitchens and restaurants off and on. I also did several stints bartending and waiting tables, which I deeply enjoyed.

Sell It! was my small business, where instead of an auction house auctioning off estate sales, I would first go through a property and identify any especially valuable items, and sell them on behalf of the owners. I would take 33% of the sale, almost always leaving the owners with more money than if an auction house had pumped the property through a generic auction with a general audience. I wound up selling everything from vintage sunglasses to bulldozers, and became a bit of an expert in glass and china in the process.

I have a wife (Nikki), two minis (Phoebe and Alex, 18mos and 6mos), a mortgage, 6 cars, 13 motorcycles, and a pretty fantastic tool collection


Travel is a waste of time and money, but my wife disagrees and I always seem to have fun when I do it


I'm fluent in English, but I can get by in Spanish, and I also have Hebrew covered in rust


I always need a hands-on project, so I'll always have at least one car or motorcycle that isn't perfect Wrenching on things is my tai-chi
