Volunteer Firefighter, Amherst Engine 3 Student Auxiliary Engine CO., Member of the Amherst Student Force, in which I underwent a probationary semester before becoming an SF firefighter. Duties include completion of shifts and call work in which SF firefighters provide prompt and safe response to emergency calls for service alongside Amherst career firefighters.
EMT Crew Chief, Advisor, and Public Events Planner, Nashoba EMT Program 2022-2024, Volunteered in the Nashoba EMT Cadet program as a Nationally and state-certified Emergency Medical Technician, crew chief, and advisory board member. Student leader for approximately 20-30 cadets. Assisted in teaching and planning study groups to ensure the success and readiness of cadets. Ensures patient safety and high-quality patient care as well as fostered effective communication on 911 emergency calls. Worked with other program leaders to help plan and attend community outreach and educational events where life-saving skills were taught to hundreds.
International Medical Volunteer, Bridges to Malawi, 06/2023. Two-week medical mission trip to rural Malawi where a group of students shadowed doctors and volunteered at local clinics and hospitals, taking vital signs, documenting medical history, delivering and sorting medical supplies, and helping to run the 'Pharmacy'.
