• Highway Maintenance Worker III, possess a Nevada class A commercial driver license and are certified by the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) to operate commercial vehicles such as semi with flatbed (low-boy) trailers, dump trucks (side and end dump), and a variety of complex or specialized highway maintenance and construction equipment.
• Restore and maintain the integrity of roadway surfaces; maintain roadside slopes, shoulders, culverts and ditches to restore drainage and prevent erosion; and repair or replace related roadway appurtenances such as guardrails, markers, guide posts and fences. Remove and replace lane markers including reflectors and lane buttons. Replace and install new updated ground-mounted and overhead signage such as Interstate shields, directional signs, object markers, and hazard markers. Remove old pavement markings by grinding to allow for installation of new updated ground markings. Such markings may include crosswalk lines, stop bars, directional arrows, and highway (Interstate) shields. Repaint lane lines and bullnoses and apply reflective beads for nighttime safety. Maintenance workers possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work indepthe endently with little or no additional training. Front loaders, excavators, skid steers, rollers, compactors, 10-wheeled dump trucks, rear and side-dump trucks, backhoes, and a variety of hydraulic attachments for hoes and excavators, patch-seal trucks, and crack seal equipment. Maintenance workers are certified in temporary traffic control setups to provide safe working conditions for workers and the public.

• An Equipment Associate at United Rentals performs a variety of manual tasks to ensure smooth branch operation. My primary objective is to provide labor assistance to service technicians, sales staff, and other branch personnel engaged in meeting the needs of their customers. Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage, and fuel level upon return from rental. Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and ensure that equipment is in good working order. Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area. Load and unload rental equipment, and prepare equipment for delivery. Types of equipment operated consist of: Front loaders, excavators, skid steers, rollers, compactors, 10-wheeled dump trucks, rear and side dump trucks, back hoes and a variety of hydraulic attachments for hoes and excavators.
