Matthew Meyer

I am detail-oriented graduate of Western Kentucky University, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology in the Spring of 2022. During my academic career, I also managed to accrue a month of work under a pediatric dentist as a dental assistant, and also shadowed multiple dentists to accrue around 300 shadowing hours. Along with school, shadowing, and work, I have been a member of WKU’s baseball team, where I have proven myself a leader on and off the field. Post-Grad, I am currently working as a full-time dental assistant. My proven analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills will make valuable assets throughout my dental career.

Past Volunteer Activities:  

• Elementary School High-Five Fridays - Every Friday at WKU, athletes could volunteer to greet students as they arrived off the busses at rotating elementary schools in the area (16 hours, August 2022 - May 2023).
• Humane Society of Bowling Green - Volunteered to help staff take care of abandoned animals (6 hours, May, 2023).
• Baseball Camp Volunteer - Volunteered to help run a kid's baseball camp at WKU. Coached and assisted kids aged 6-14 on their baseball abilities and knowledge of the game (30 hours, August 2019 - January 2023).
• Food Pantry Volunteer - Stocked and organized donated food at Gleaner's Food Pantry in Indianapolis (16 hours, January 2018).
• Women's Shelter Volunteer - Helped with many jobs at Third Phase Inc. Women's Shelter in Noblesville, IN, , such as organizing the library, stacking/cutting wood, and preparing food for members of the shelter (64 hours, September 2017 - November 2017).
