I am a fan of all sports. My son Zach is an 8th grader at Blackhawk and runs cross country, basketball, track, and plays tuba and marches with the Blackhawk Marching Band. Zach is an avid golfer, and as the pandemic hit we began spending our extra time golfing together. As he developed, I entered Zach into US Kids Golf Tournaments at age 9 and he still plays in those tournaments. I coached Zach's Jr PGA golf team the past two springs and in the past have coached Zach's Little Cougars basketball teams in his youth as well, helping our connection together and also assisting other youth in something other than music.
My wife (choir director at a local school district) and I have sung at multiple weddings, and she has taken over as the temporary substitute music organizer at our church in the past. I took the lead as the cantor singer during that time, and my son and I have led the services together before as well. Music is a great way I can give back to God and the church. In the past, I used to sing in choirs, take voice lessons, and perform in musicals. I enjoy playing in orchestras for musicals, and have done so as a clarinetist and saxophonist in the past. I also had a trombone experience in a musical pit. I have conducted a couple musical orchestras at Beaver Local as well.
