Summary

Certified En-Route Air Traffic Controller at ZBW working a combination of high and low altitude airspace while also coordinating with Canadian and Oceanic facilities.

I was selected to participate in the development, testing, and deployment of domestic Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) services in September 2016. I traveled regularly to the FAA Tech Center in Atlantic City, NJ and to other air traffic facilities across the country to conduct these duties. Between 2016 and 2022, I was involved with every major ERAM release and upgrade that was deployed nationwide. This work gave me unique insights into FAA program acquisition, development, and deployment on both a local and national level.

For the past two years I have been working as a Staff Support Specialist/Analyst for the Boston Center Traffic Management Unit (TMU). Duties have included data tracking and processing, investigations of TMU related events, analyzing the effectiveness of programs and procedures with the intent of recommending changes, and writing and developing various forms of training. I have developed strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. This work has provided me with valuable insight into the workings of TMU and FAA administration as a whole that most controllers do not get to experience.
