  • Fully Certified FAA Control Tower Operator (CTO) and Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS). Serve as a Shift Leader at a three position Tower Air Traffic Control Facility.
  • Excels in the use of multiple landing/departure surfaces with a single runway and complex traffic situations.
  • Expert in planning, changing, and implementing traffic pattern sequences while handling multiple aircraft of different characteristics simultaneously.
  • Routinely sequence, space, and issue clearances to SVFR, VFR and IFR aircraft as well as directing vehicles and aircraft within the airports area of responsibility.
  • Issue safety alerts, traffic calls and wake turbulence instructions as needed.
  • Weather certified and assists weather personnel during times of quickly changing weather conditions.
  • Issue weather warnings and receive/distribute pilot reports (PIREPS) in a timely manner.
  • An expert in handling aircraft in distress and initiating emergency procedures to include activation of the primary crash alarm system.
  • Coordinate with adjacent facilities and approach control on the sequencing of IFR/VFR aircraft to and from the airport.
  • Designated as a lead trainer to new hires and military trainees for the tower.
  • Routinely control unmanned arial systems (UAS) as rotary-wing, fixed-wing and UAS are all stationed at Humphreys.
  • This has given me value experience working aircraft of all categories simultaneously, as well as experience working complex traffic situations.
  • Exhibited detailed knowledge and application of Air Traffic Control rules and regulations in accordance with FAA, US Army, and DOD directives.
  • Provided ATC services to airspace users using radar and non-radar methods to provide safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), and Visual Flight Rules (VFR) aircraft.
