Summary

I have been passionate about helping people my entire life. I joined the fire service to serve people. As my experienced built over time, I learned that as part of mitigation I was a reactionary force. During a 1 month stint on the P.A.S.T. I began to understand, in a safety role, I could be proactive in preventing incidents from occurring. I added to my passion for helping people by beginning to undertake an education in the safety field. As my knowledge grew I applied it when I was at work, home or anywhere else that I could. Safety is the guideline for everything else that we accomplish in our work environment. Building and maintaining a safety culture is not always easy, but necessary.
