Summary

I have an extensive professional background in the service industry where I developed a strong work ethic and many fundamental qualities necessary for contributing value to a team effort. Traits like empathy, reliability, punctuality, accountability, and conscientiousness cannot be taught in a day, but rather, are cultivated over years of experience. I believe I reflect these qualities in my work, both in my professional experience as well as in my formal education. Whether I am building cars at Tesla, training line cooks at Magnolia Cafe, or discussing anger management strategies in group sessions through my internship at Texas State, I bring these fundamental qualities with me and become a valued asset. I chose a degree in psychology with the hope that I could positively impact the lives of others and my community. My career goals include continuing education, developing supportive and technical skills for helping improve functioning in individuals who need help, and advancing the field of mental health.
