As a dedicated member of our community, I accumulated over 500 hours of volunteer work over a 3 year period of time. Throughout this time, I rose from member to elected president of a community wide organization known as GreenTeens. As president, I was able to oversee our partnership and merge with 4H, a nationwide youth development program which focuses on building leadership, citizenship, and life skills through hands on projects. I was accepted and attended the Savannah College of Art and Design for about two years, dropping out to pursue a more hands on approach to learning about fashion. I worked under a professional seamstress for about six months.
My biggest interest is fashion As aforementioned, I studied fashion design for about two years, which taught me about fashion marketing, the history of fashion and production After that, I worked under a professional seamstress learning all I could about the construction of garments Now, I enjoy spending my free time working on projects from jackets and shirts to pants and shorts I'm extremely interested in learning more about what customers want when it comes to clothing What they look for, what stands out to them, as well as what trends they're following Learning the kind of customer a specific garment attracts would help me tremendously in my personal projects and future works
