Maya Brochu

My name is Maya Brochu. I am a nutrition student with a specialization in the dietetics track. I am studying to become a Registered dietitian. I want to be able to provide compassion and understanding to the field of nutrition. I want to use my education in nutrition to benefit the field of public health and provide opportunities who may not otherwise have access t the help they need.

• Cross-country/Track and Field
• Arts: Reading, writing, piano, guitar, ukulele, song-writing.
• Recreation: Hiking, biking, skiing.

• NHIAA Scholar Athlete received in recognition of academic and athletic performances while competing on the cross country and track and field team in high school.
• NH Honors with STEAM Pathway received in recognition of accomplishment in the arts and sciences in the state of New Hampshire.
• All-State Team XC/TF received as a senior and a junior in high school as recognition for performances in cross country and track and field.

• Pope Memorial SPCA (Community Outreach): Worked with rescue animals in the community to promote the well-treatment of animals and their adoption. Volunteered and hosted events.
• Bow Rec Track and Field (Coach): Worked as a coach for the local track and field program with kids (Kindergarten to 8th Grade) to promote a healthy lifestyle and a love for the sport.

Tropical Ecology Research (Belize):

Studied in Belize in April of 2023 to learn about tropical ecology, biodiversity, and how climate change impacts vulnerable ecosystems. Researched at the Cockscomb Research Station, and Glover's Atoll Reef Research Station.
