Through my work experience as a sports camp counselor at Plano Sports Authority I have developed strong leadership and organizational skills. From facilitating group activities and ensuring participant well-being to demonstrating effective communication and problem-solving abilities, I have skills adaptable to various settings. I have experience supervising community-based children's sporting activities and promoting development of good sportsmanship and self-confidence while being a counselor. It has allowed me to promote health and wellness among youth. This job has provided me with experience in developing recreational and injury prevention programs that ensure safety and foster positive engagement.
Having started as a student athletic trainer in 8th grade, I now have 5 years of experience in sports medicine through football and 4 years through baseball. In this time, I have acquired a passion for sports medicine and athlete care. I have become committed to fostering athlete health and performance with the use of injury prevention and rehabilitation techniques, coupled with skills in therapeutic exercises and first aid. Student athletic trainers need to be adaptable and reliable team players while also being committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment for all athletes. As a student with extensive experience in supporting athletes' health and performance, I regularly have to prove my abilities to manage injury and carry out rehabilitation programs, ensuring optimal athlete condition. Just as dedicated team players are on the field, sports medicine trainers are dedicated on and off with one goal in mind: to support athletes. I am well-versed in rendering aid and preparing athletes for activities with effective taping, bracing, and padding techniques.
