Although I have extensive experience in the food industry, my goal is to become a registered nurse. I desire to work in a hands-on clinical setting to gain experience. While I'm still in school, gaining the prerequisites to enter nursing school, I have acquired knowledge about patient care principles, including monitoring vital signs, infection control, and basic medical terminology over the years.

Recently, my mother had C3-C4 spinal surgery, and I, being primarily her caretaker, have gained experience monitoring her vitals and blood pressure at home. Giving her around-the-clock care. Further into her recovery, she was soon diagnosed with diverticulitis and colitis. She was then hospitalized for one week. And during that week, I stayed with her. There, I got to meet many talented RNs and PCTs who cared for my mom. They encouraged me to pursue my nursing career and gave me advice on which schools I should attend. This gave me a look into what working in a hospital setting truly feels like. I am willing to learn, train, and gain as much knowledge as I need to work in a hospital setting.
