Maya Panizzon

I assist in managing the UCSB machine shop, where I help lead the introductory shop class for new engineering majors. In this role, I teach students how to operate CNC Mills, lathes, and other fundamental shop practices, guiding them through the assembly of an air motor.

Utilized my skills in CAD, machining, product design, and CAM to mentor high school seniors. Employed project management abilities to streamline student organization.

I served as an educator at a children's museum specializing in engineering exhibits, where I facilitated interactive learning experiences for children, teaching them foundational concepts in physics and engineering. I utilized my skills in a machine shop where I used mills, lathes, and product design techniques to complete various projects. Additionally, I served as a student teacher, delivering physics lessons in a K-12 classroom setting.
