MK99 Fire Control System Technician - V28A - FCA2
7 Years 2 Months- Trained and mentored 8 technicians on the ins and outs of of MK15 Data Converter Cabinet, MK200 Director Controller, T-1348 Transmitter, and 400HZ Air Cooled Solid State Frequency Converter.
- Troubleshooting MK200 Director Controller and T-1348 Transmitter extensively, including replacing High Voltage Power Supply, Traveling Wave Tubes, Noise Cancelers, RF Oscillators, Low Volt Power Supplies, Voltage Regulators and verifying alignments.
- Responsible for the preventative maintenance and daily operation of the MK99 Fire control system throughout two deployments in hostile territory.
- Responsible for providing clean stable power throughout the entirety of combat systems equipment by verifying the correction operation the 400HZ Air Cooled Solid State Frequency Converter.
- Ensured the safety of the ship as one of 3 Missile System Supervisors through 5 month deployment and numerous training exercises.
- Established proficiency with electronic theory, radar theory, pinouts, reading electronic schematics, data analysis and theorizing in order to execute safe corrective actions, data recording, test equipment usage, electronic safety, tag-out systems, utilize 3M programs to conduct maintenance and order parts, and to provide training and assistance to others.
- Able to work in adverse environments and to prepare the team for large projects including inspections like RE- 2, RE- 5, and INSURV with no hits on the FCS or ACSSFC.
- Creates tactically challenging scenarios to develop competent watch teams through C5F and C7F scenarios as Battle Force Tactical Trainer Controller.
