I've been doing 3 months on/3 months off as part of my job as a ship's captain. During my three months off, I began working as a marine surveyor and consultant in the year 2020.

Conducted more than 50 various maritime surveys which includes :

• Flag State Administration Survey / Inspection
• Condition Survey/Hull and machinery damage Survey
• Cargo/Cargo Damage, Ship Damage/Draft survey
• Off/On Hire Survey
• PNI surveys,
• ISM ,ISPS & MLC Audits
• Assist & preparation in Class surveys ,PSC inspection - USCG, AMSA, EMSA and other Governmental surveys
• Bunker survey
• Increased customer satisfaction by resolving issues
• Made proactive adjustments to policies and procedures to meet changing demands

Joined the sea as a deck cadet in 1991 and was gradually promoted to Captain in 2003. For 16 years, I worked for Fleet Management Ltd. in Hong Kong. For the past 19 years, I have commanded a variety of dry cargo vessels.

• Responsible for and in charge of a vessel worth $100 million dollars.
• Implemented a safe and cost-effective navigation route that reduced fuel consumption by 30%.
• Ensured safe shipboard operation, resulting in a 50% reduction in accidents and incidents.
• Charter's profit was increased as a result of safe cargo operations, safe handling of all aspects of planning, execution of operations, and problem resolution during loading, discharging, and carriage of these cargoes.

While working for Fleet Management Ltd, I was doing 4 months on/4 months off as part of my job as a ship's captain. I started working as an Internal Auditor during my four months off.

• Performed internal Ship audits for ISM, ISPS, MLC & MARPOL for compliance with documented processes.
• Investigated discrepancies discovered during auditing process.
• Recommended new methods to improve internal controls and operating efficiency.
• Developed auditing program to address risks and evaluate regulatory requirements.
• Documented recommendations to improve internal controls.
• Evaluated company's policies to determine how well standards adhered to best practices.
• Produced and reviewed audit reports for submission to Director of HSQE Dept and advised on audit recommendations and internal controls.
